When you use Kouka, we may also process scans, searches, saved products, shopping lists, contribution drafts, device information, diagnostics, and general app activity.

If you submit a product contribution, we process the product information and images you choose to send for review. Camera access is used to scan barcodes or capture product information only when you initiate those features.

We use information to provide and secure Kouka, identify products, personalize your experience, maintain shopping and saved-product features, review contributions, communicate service messages, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve catalog quality and app performance.

We may share limited information with service providers that host, secure, analyze, or support Kouka, subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business reorganization. We do not sell personal information.

Approved product facts and non-personal catalog contributions may become part of Kouka's shared product catalog. We separate public product information from your private account data. Do not submit images or text containing personal or confidential information.

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, to meet legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

You may update certain profile and preference information in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. Contact us to make a request; we may need to verify your identity.

Kouka is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Information may be processed in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ. We will post updates to this policy here and change the effective date when material changes are made.
